Duplication vs Replication

The main difference between duplication and replication is method of production. Duplication involves “burning” an image onto a DVD or CD, while replication is the process of “stamping” a glass imprint straight onto a DVD or CD. Each method has it’s distinct advantages. Duplication is the primary method for order requiring 500 or less DVDs or CDs, this is because it is less expensive and the turn around time is much faster for small orders. Orders larger than 500 are normally replicated, because the quantity allows the time to create a glass stamp and create large quantities faster and more affordable.
